A Return to Greatness: Kanye West Reclaims the Spotlight at SoFi Stadium.

For the past few years, Kanye West has faced a lot of criticism tied up in controversy and unpredictability. From his public reinvention from Kanye West to Ye, it was difficult for fans to tell if they’d ever get the “old Kanye” back. On March 28th, Kanye released his album, Bully and just a few days after, performed two sold-out shows at Sofi Stadium in Los Angeles. After attending night 2 of his show, I really believe that “old Kanye” is back and here to stay.
From the larger-than-life stage design to the setlist and surprise guests, this show was definitely one for the books and one of the top 3 concerts I’ve ever attended. Kanye set the tone immediately, emerging on a towering stage designed to look like he was standing on the world and opening with “King” from his new album. From there, Kanye moved between eras, going from classics like “Father Stretch My Hands,” “Power,” and “Bound 2” to more of his recent tracks like “Praise God,” “Carnival,” and “Bully.”
Although the crowd was already on their feet, proudly singing along with Kanye the whole night, Sofi Stadium erupted with excitement when Travis Scott emerged from the stage to perform “FATHER” and “FE!N”. This was followed by North West joining her dad on stage for her songs, “Talking” and “Piercing on My Hand.” At this point, I didn’t think the night could get any better, but Kanye brought out Ms. Lauryn Hill to cover “All Falls Down,” “Doo Wop (That Thing),” where she also brought on YG Marley for “Praise Jah in the Moonlight.”
As if Night 2 could get any more exhilarating, Kanye came back out to end the night with arguably some of his most beloved songs. The last 50 minutes of the show, we were blessed with: “Jesus Walks,” “Through the Wire,” “Good Life,” “Homecoming,” “All of the Lights,” “Flashing Lights,” “Stronger,” “Ghost Town,” and my absolute favorite Kanye song, “Runaway.” By the end of “Runaway,”

I stood there in awe of how this would go down as one of the most memorable concerts I have ever been to. Kanye truly delivered that night, not just with nostalgia, but an elevated level of creativity and presence that felt completely unmatched. This wasn’t just a show, it was a reminder of how iconic Kanye really is.
He sold out two stadium shows just days after the release of his new album, and stepped onstage like he never left. That kind of pull doesn’t happen by accident. Kanye is one of the few artists who can influence music, fashion and culture all at once, and I’m excited to see where it goes from here.
Welcome back, the legendary Kanye West.
