WNBA Contributor (Internship—Unpaid)

The Role We're looking for a passionate and culturally-aware WNBA Contributor to join the Sideline Society Media team. This is an unpaid internship built for the aspiring sports media professional who wants real bylines, real experience, and a platform to develop their voice covering one of the most culturally significant leagues in sports today.

What You'll Do

• Write and publish WNBA content including game previews, recaps, player profiles, and cultural commentary

• Cover league news, trades, storylines, and the broader conversation surrounding women's basketball

• Contribute written content to Sideline Society Media's newsletter and digital platforms

• Stay current on standings, rosters, and the personalities shaping the league

• Collaborate with the editorial team on story ideas and content direction

• Share your published work across personal and platform social channels to help grow our audience

What We're Looking For

• A genuine passion for the WNBA and women's sports

• Strong writing skills with a clear, engaging, and culturally informed voice

• Solid understanding of the WNBA — players, teams, history, and the culture surrounding the league

• Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines independently

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Journalism, Communications, Sport Management, or a related field
