Soccer Contributor (Internship—Unpaid)

The Role We're looking for a knowledgeable and driven Soccer Contributor to join the Sideline Society Media team. This is an unpaid internship built for the aspiring sports media professional who wants real bylines, real experience, and a platform to develop their voice in one of the fastest-growing sports in the world.

What You'll Do

• Write and publish soccer content including match previews, recaps, player profiles, and cultural commentary

• Cover domestic and international storylines across MLS, USMNT, USWNT, and global leagues

• Contribute written content to Sideline Society Media's newsletter and digital platforms

• Stay current on standings, transfers, and the personalities shaping the game

• Collaborate with the editorial team on content planning and story direction

• Share published work across social channels to help grow our audience

What We're Looking For

• A genuine passion for soccer and its growing cultural influence

• Strong writing skills with a clear, engaging, and culturally informed voice

• Solid understanding of the soccer landscape — clubs, players, leagues, and the culture surrounding the game

• Self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines independently

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Journalism, Communications, Sport Management, or a related field
