Sports media isn’t just what you see, it’s built in the moments behind the scenes that make everything else possible. All Star Weekend was a great hands on experience.

I was on-site at Complex Market during NBA All-Star Weekend. I am grateful to have worked within one of the event’s most dynamic cultural hubs where sports, media, and brand storytelling converged.

Operating as a Brand Ambassador, I contributed across multiple activations, supporting event operations, assisting guests, and adapting in a fast-paced environment. It was my mission to ensure seamless execution while gaining a firsthand view of how large scale sports media experiences are produced.

The experience provided direct exposure to the intersection of live content, fan engagement, and brand integration key pillars shaping the modern sports media landscape.

The highlight of the weekend came during the live podcast hosted by Wave Sports & Entertainment, where I worked alongside the production team on setup.

I also helped coordinate seating for Carmelo Anthony’s friends and family, contributing to the execution of a high level live production.

Through this role, I operated within a professional event ecosystem supported by CREW, Patty Lora, Think True, Brittney D. Harris, and Viola Luong teams and leaders responsible for delivering a polished and high-performing environment.

Special recognition goes to Brionna Simons for the opportunity to contribute during a pivotal moment of the event.

This experience reflects a broader understanding that sports media extends beyond coverage.

It is built through execution, collaboration, and the ability to operate within live environments where culture, content, and audience engagement intersect in real time.
